2006 Event

An aptly beautiful, warm, and sunny morning marked the day of
The Susan Novick Race to Make a Difference , held on
September 10, 2006 at Giampietro Park in Vineland, New Jersey.  
The 5K run and walk commemorated Susan Novick, a beloved pillar
of her community, who lost her brave battle against pancreatic cancer last December.

  The race included a one-mile fun walk and attracted over 500 participants, raising close to $60,000. Several survivors of pancreatic cancer attended the race, and were acknowledged by race organizer Amie Novick-Lidke, Novick's granddaughter. The event included a raffle drawing, face painters for kids and an information booth about PanCAN, which proved very useful for loved ones of pancreatic cancer patients attending the race who otherwise were not aware of the organization and all it offers.

The race was a huge success and a fun time was had by all. The outpouring of love and support displayed by the community truly captured the spirit of Susan Novick.   Bob Novick, husband of Novick for 45 years, states,   "Sue would have been overjoyed to lend her name to such a worthy cause."
